Liverpool

...our long-awaited pilgrimage to Beatle-land!

As a serious Beatles/Paul McCartney fan, visiting Liverpool had always been on the top of my UK sightseeing list. We didn't make it here on my family's first trip, so we made a point of stopping here on our second, and we weren't disappointed! If you are a Beatles fan, seeing all the Liverpool landmarks really enhances your appreciation of their music and life stories. Besides that, Liverpool is a great city in its own right--a beautiful renovated riverfront, with a nice mix of old and new architecture, plenty of shopping and cultural events, and friendly people with a great accent!

Look, is that a 'ferry cross the Mersey'?
Actually, it's a merchant ship, but that's close!
